Little Trouble Maker

Everytime we open the fridge Isaac want to see what's inside. This time Dad decided to let Isaac explore a little.
Isaac had his first donut. He wasn't too interested at first until he realized how sweet the frosting was. He has a sweet tooth just like his mom.
Lately Isaac wants to crawl into anything that resembles a box, the laundry basket, his basket of books, the diaper box, etc.

Play Group

I am very proud of all of us Mommys who made it all the way up to the Butterfly Pavilion in Boulder by 9:30 am! What a feat!
I held my very first tarantula today! I was really nervous at first and my heart was racing. But it really wasn't that bad, I held the spider twice. They're fuzzy and light. I guess if they do bite it just feels like a bee sting. I wonder if this is on the "don't do" list for pregnant women?
Isaac had fun climbing in and out of the honeycomb. This was a fun play date with the play group.

November Tag

We have been bad about taking pictures lately so I thought I would put up an old picture for kicks. This one is worth a good laugh!

November Tag

Now that I am (27) I look back on my LIFE and wish that I would have... Majored in nutrition or sports physiology. Or go to school to become an aesthetician or a pilates/yoga instructor. Child psychology wasn't a bad choice, it's just hard to choose one thing.

Out of all the women in my life (besides blood related) this is who I most aDMirE... Kathryn Staples my Mia Maid leader. She was always positive and encouraging. She always made you feel like you were the best person on the face of the earth.

Vacationing here would make a dream come true... Traveling to Hawaii with Garrett. I went there during college with a girlfriend but a true paradise like that, you need to take your honey.

Everyday I say I'm going to do this and I dOn'T... Organize our files (bills, statements, etc.). I think it's been on my to do list for about 6 months. Maybe tomorrow.

My favorite SAYING... "Did you know... " That's all I can think of right now. I don't say it much anymore but when I was in school I used to say it all the time and Garrett would make fun of me. Because I would say Did you know that in such and such study they found blank and blank. I would talk about whatever was the most recent study I had just learned about at school. I was fasinating about what I was learning but I don't think anyone else was really all that interested.

Before I go to bEd at night, I must... Take two tums. I just started my third trimester and if I forget to take the tums I wake up about 2am with horrible heartburn.

Everytime I T*h*I*N*k about the future... I get excited. I think about all the wonderful things in life that are yet to come. Meeting our new baby girl, re-discovering the world all over again as we teach our children and share in new experiences with them, and Garrett and I growing old together and falling more in love with each other.

Real life situation that SCARed me to death... A big black spider in the shower this morning. I am usually not afraid of spiders but this one was crawling at the speed of light across the shower floor. Luckily I had a flip flop close by so I could kill it quickly.

Tag you're it! This is my first time doing this. I guess how it works is you have to copy and paste this into your blog and fill in your responses.

My 1st Haircut!

Isaac's doo was getting a little long so aunt Annie gave him a trim. We were well prepared with goldfish on hand and a baby einstein video to watch. It was pretty amazing how still Isaac sat through the entire haircut!
Isaac was happy that we let him keep a quarter of his mowhawk. He looks so grown up!

Run Away! Run Away!

Last Friday at the ward party, Isaac and his little friend Joseph kept sneaking away. Once they found their way down the hall to the nursery room and started playing. This time they snuck out and found a couple of young women who were playing the piano in the Relief Society room. Isaac and Joseph abliged, both crawled up into their girlfriends (ha ha ha) laps and started playing. We are already worried for when they become young men! At least they have good taste.

Happy Halloween!

We carved these jack-o-lanterns at Grandma/pa Eddington's house. It was so memorable; we happily carved pumpkins and then sadly watch the Red Sox take the World Series- oh well, you can't have your pumpkin and eat it too! Garrett carved the traditional red-neck pumpkin (yes, there is such a thing), Grandma did the snow man (errr, scare crow), Sarah did the ghost, and Grandpa observed- as expected.
At church we do what is called a trunk or treat. We meet in the parking lot and pass out candy from our trunks. It's a good way to get a ton of candy fast! Isaac walked around aimlessly making his famous car sound (which produces excessive amounts of drool). He was more interested in the tailights of the cars than he was the candy or other trick or treaters. Someday he will understand the importance of candy, I guess we can't complain. The candy that Isaac did end up with Mom & Dad devoured in two days. We decided immediately to have more kids.
Isaac was a pumpkin (I think every kid is a pumkin at least once). In fact Sarah & her sister actually wore this same costume when they were little. I guess we shouldn't tease my mom for keeping everything :)
Isaac and cousin Graham- can't they stand still while we take a picture? Graham was a stick figure made out of glow sticks, it looks really cool in the dark. Check out the "Mountain Bryan" blog for some cool pics. Graham is in the middle of his disappearing act where he makes a peice of candy vanish.

Pumpkin Patch

So many pumpkins how do you choose just one! Mom and Isaac.
Okay, I got one lets go!

Isaac in the hay maze.
Cousins Graham, Isaac, Martin, and Alex. We tried so hard to get a cute picture but they just weren't having it. They're still cute boys even if they're cranky.
Alex and Graham had fun in the bouncy gym. We tried to put Isaac in but he wasn't so sure without his mommy by his side. He just sat in the doorway looking back at me.

Go Rockies!

Garrett was lucky enough to go to the game when the Rockies won the National League Penant. He cheered so loud that it took 3 days before he got his voice back.

California Fun

Mom, Me, and Liz in front of the L.A. Temple. I couldn't believe how big it is!
Keith, Mom, Liz, and Me at the Getty (an art museum) on the hillside of L.A.
We were able to pet and feed the dolphins at Sea World. As one little girl described they feel like hot dogs.
If you leave your hand in the water long enough the starfish will clamp down on your hand, they think your a rock. The water was freezing. It took a few miniutes before any feeling returned to my hand.
Mom, Keith, and Me. Please note my knock off designer purse purchased at the garment district in downtown L.A. I am very proud to report that I received three complements on my purse while shopping in Beverly Hills. I guess I fooled them.

Indian Summer

We took full advantage of what might be one of the last warm days of fall. We walked to the park, had a picnic lunch, played on the play ground, and rolled around on the grass. It was a perfect afternoon. There wasn't a cloud in sight.
Ahhhhh-Choo! Bless me!
Aren't I a sweet boy?
My pregnant belly is getting huge! Especially from this view.

Silly Me!

Isaac likes to help pull his shirt off when getting ready for bed. But this shirt was a little too tight he was running around his room laughing at himself and tugging at the shirt on his head.

Isaac can now use a straw! Except he still tilts the cup back when drinking.

It's A Girl!

After two ultrasounds it's as official as it's going to get until birth. It's a girl!!! This is a profile picture of our little one sucking her thumb. She kept putting her thumb in and out of her mouth. She also had hicups during the ultrasound, making her chest rise and fall. I can't wait until Feb. 3rdish when we will finally get to meet her.

Yep! That's my pee test. We thought we would document our family history with a snap shot on Isaac's bedroom floor amidst all of his toys. May 26th, the day we found out we were expecting number 2.

Daddy Please!

Every morning Isaac tries to steal our glasses right off of our faces. Yet he refuses to wear his own sunglasses. Garrett decided to give him a break and let him try his. What a cute geek he makes! That is Isaac not Garrett.

Isaac's diaper was so full of pee that it started to sag showing his little bum crack. We had to get a picture before changing him.

Afternoon Walks

Isaac's favorite thing to do at the playground is to swing.

One thing I love about living in Old Town Littleton is our afternoon walks. There are several beautiful spacious parks close by. This pictures is taken at the Rose Memorial Garden. Isaac is really working it for the camera with his cute pose.

We usually just pass through the rose garden on our way to the playground but on this day we actually took the time to stop and smell the roses.

Boys Will Be Boys

Graham came to play on Monday and Tuesday. Isaac and Graham had fun playing with Dad's fart machine. Graham would push the button on the remote and yell after each fart sound making Isaac crack up laughing.
