Every week when we attend church, it just happens to be right during Isaac's normal nap time. We try to get him to sleep earlier in the day, but he ends up playing in his crib. So we go to church and take with us a little girl who grunts at everything (albeit very cute) and a 20 month old boy without a nap. Garrett gets the task of keeping him quiet which has only been a sucess a few times. Garrett usually takes Isaac out into the hall because he is laughing, crawling under benches, trying to run up & down the pews, etc. This week though, he was so cute in a new shirt and tie we had to post it (we're not condoning the behavior, we just get a much cuter Isaac in the hall).
Isaac is afixiated with how things work. Here he is looking at a flourecent light that is flickering (although we joke that he is seeing an angel- well you never know, but it looked like a light to us :)
Here he is being entertained by a fan- forget toys, this is way better!

He looked adorable on Sunday, and someday dad will get to hear all of sacrament again.
Handsome little guy... he must get those looks from Sarah... :) Sorry to hear about the spill down the stairs, although it happens to best of boys!
I am glad to hear the my children are not the only ones trying to be contained during sacrament. Sometimes I fugure it would be better time spent banging my head against a way. My hope is that one day they sit for 10 minutes all in one sitting
We've decided to take a sacrament "vacation" even though it's the most important hour! An exploring 1 year old and non-attention span 3 year old for 60 minutes is too much for me to handle. I even have a great supportive team.
Church can be hard, but I've found that if they know they're not leaving the chapel, they get it. Mind you, it's probably really distracting to others while you're trying to teach this, but it works out. Good luck!
