Baby Countdown!

No baby yet but the countdown is on. Feb. 3rd is our due date and if we are lucky she will be early! We'll definitely keep everyone posted when it happens. In the meantime I think I better enjoy the little time I have left with it being just Isaac and me.

Bowling

We had a really fun family day with the Eastons a few weeks back. We had family pictures in the morning, then went to breakfast at Village Inn, split up for all the little kiddies naps, met back up for bowling, and then went to dinner at Trail Dust. We were all beat by the end of the day but sure had fun.
Isaac's first time bowling. They even had shoes in his size. He either has big feet or there are some crazy young bowlers out there.
I must be Garrett's lucky charm because when we bowled together he got his first strike.
Chris, Annie, Me, and Jeannie. I think my ball is the heaviest.
Kimball, Alex and Evan.

What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger

So our blog has been pretty boring for awhile now. I have been a little under (or I guess a lot) under the weather. It all started on December 3rd with what I thought was just a little sore throat but really turned out to be strep throat. We had to cancel our Christmas Party the day before. I still apologize to everyone for that. I took penicillin for 10 days but to no avail. On Christmas Eve I found out that I had a sinus infection and was put on amoxicillin for 10 more days. This morning I woke up with the stomach flu. Poor Garrett has been playing nurse (as in Gaylord Focker, Man-Nurse) for over a month now. Sorry Honey for the puke all over the walls this morning. I didn't quite make it to the bathroom in time, and even as I write this tonight, it still stinks like blown chunks.

Despite the sore throat, runny nose, cough, headaches, bodyaches, and now throwing up we really did enjoy the holidays. Here are a few of the highlights. I am not pictured in any of the following photos- now is not exactly my best 'hour'.

Hanging out with Great Grandpa and Grandma Easton.

The Eddington line-up. Morgan, Nicole, Tyler, Michael, and Isaac.

After setting up the Christmas tree Isaac quickly learned that he wasn't allowed to touch the ornaments. He thought that as long as he wasn't touching with his hands he was safe. So he would stick out his belly and rub it against the tree instead. He may not cross the line, but he's definately standing on it (oh dear)!

Mckay came home from his Thailand missionary service on December 19th. It was fun having the whole family together for a few weeks before he returned to BYU.
Crazy-Eyes McGee got a little excited about all of the presents.

Isaac loves his new tool set. It was the first time we had seen him be possesive about a toy. He didn't want to share it with anyone.

Cousin, Graham thought it was cool too, only he was sent to time-out for taking Isaac's drill. Poor boy! Luckily he got his own drill the next day.

Little Trouble Maker

Everytime we open the fridge Isaac want to see what's inside. This time Dad decided to let Isaac explore a little.
Isaac had his first donut. He wasn't too interested at first until he realized how sweet the frosting was. He has a sweet tooth just like his mom.
Lately Isaac wants to crawl into anything that resembles a box, the laundry basket, his basket of books, the diaper box, etc.

Play Group

I am very proud of all of us Mommys who made it all the way up to the Butterfly Pavilion in Boulder by 9:30 am! What a feat!
I held my very first tarantula today! I was really nervous at first and my heart was racing. But it really wasn't that bad, I held the spider twice. They're fuzzy and light. I guess if they do bite it just feels like a bee sting. I wonder if this is on the "don't do" list for pregnant women?
Isaac had fun climbing in and out of the honeycomb. This was a fun play date with the play group.

November Tag

We have been bad about taking pictures lately so I thought I would put up an old picture for kicks. This one is worth a good laugh!

November Tag

Now that I am (27) I look back on my LIFE and wish that I would have... Majored in nutrition or sports physiology. Or go to school to become an aesthetician or a pilates/yoga instructor. Child psychology wasn't a bad choice, it's just hard to choose one thing.

Out of all the women in my life (besides blood related) this is who I most aDMirE... Kathryn Staples my Mia Maid leader. She was always positive and encouraging. She always made you feel like you were the best person on the face of the earth.

Vacationing here would make a dream come true... Traveling to Hawaii with Garrett. I went there during college with a girlfriend but a true paradise like that, you need to take your honey.

Everyday I say I'm going to do this and I dOn'T... Organize our files (bills, statements, etc.). I think it's been on my to do list for about 6 months. Maybe tomorrow.

My favorite SAYING... "Did you know... " That's all I can think of right now. I don't say it much anymore but when I was in school I used to say it all the time and Garrett would make fun of me. Because I would say Did you know that in such and such study they found blank and blank. I would talk about whatever was the most recent study I had just learned about at school. I was fasinating about what I was learning but I don't think anyone else was really all that interested.

Before I go to bEd at night, I must... Take two tums. I just started my third trimester and if I forget to take the tums I wake up about 2am with horrible heartburn.

Everytime I T*h*I*N*k about the future... I get excited. I think about all the wonderful things in life that are yet to come. Meeting our new baby girl, re-discovering the world all over again as we teach our children and share in new experiences with them, and Garrett and I growing old together and falling more in love with each other.

Real life situation that SCARed me to death... A big black spider in the shower this morning. I am usually not afraid of spiders but this one was crawling at the speed of light across the shower floor. Luckily I had a flip flop close by so I could kill it quickly.

Tag you're it! This is my first time doing this. I guess how it works is you have to copy and paste this into your blog and fill in your responses.

My 1st Haircut!

Isaac's doo was getting a little long so aunt Annie gave him a trim. We were well prepared with goldfish on hand and a baby einstein video to watch. It was pretty amazing how still Isaac sat through the entire haircut!
Isaac was happy that we let him keep a quarter of his mowhawk. He looks so grown up!
